LCP Holds Twelfth-Annual Sports Banquet

Athletic Director, Scott Albright, was the Master of Ceremonies overseeing the presentation of 175 medals in seven sports categories.  Lady Knight volleyball captains, Allexa Valencia and Talia Mardrusian, presented LCP directors, Terry Villanueva and Justin Whalin, with the Foothill Sports League Championship trophy and championship banner.  Lady Knight captains, Allexa Valencia and Emily Petrosyan, presented Ms. Villanueva and Mr. Whalin with the Foothill Sports League Runner-Up trophy and banner for girls’ basketball, and tennis team captain Yash Jaju presented the team’s eleventh championship trophy and banner for tennis.

Flag Football coach, Greg Wilczek, presented medals to the varsity flag football team.  Coach Wilczek also presented the following special awards: Most Improved Player to Sevan Keshishian; Most Outstanding Sportsmanship to Harout Habeshian; and Most Outstanding Player award to Cody Walsh.

Tennis coach, Tosh Bandev, presented medals to the varsity tennis team.  He also presented the following special awards: Most Improved Player to Pavel Markov; Most Outstanding Sportsmanship to Elena Markov; and Most Outstanding Player to Yash Jaju.

Volleyball coach, Jill Jose, presented medals to the varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams.  Coach Jose presented the following special awards: Most Improved Player to Katie Baker; Most Outstanding Sportsmanship to Sonja Leavens; and Most Outstanding Player to Allexa Valencia and Talia Mardrusian. 

Basketball coaches, Greg Wilczek and Avo Bekhloian, presented medals to the varsity and junior varsity girls’ and boys’ basketball teams.  Coach Wilczek also presented the following special awards: Most Improved Players to Emma McDavid (girls) and Andrew Harutunians (boys); Most Outstanding Sportsmanship to Leonna Torosyan (girls) and Tadeh Krikorian (boys); and Most Outstanding Players to Emily Petrosyan (girls) and Andre Gazarian (boys).

Soccer coach, Greg Wilczek, presented medals to the varsity and junior varsity girls’ and boys’ soccer teams.

The following were recognized as three-year varsity letterman: Emily Petrosyan (Basketball), Allexa Valencia (Volleyball and Basketball) and Cody Walsh (Flag Football).
