Family Service Program

The goal of the Family Service Program (FSP) is to cultivate a spirit of community in which each school family actively participates and supports the life and development of The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory.  The program serves as a positive example to our students of active involvement in the school community. Each family is expected to provide ten (10) hours of service to the school.  For single-parent families, the requirement is five (5) hours. These hours may be performed by parents or other adults (grandparents, siblings, friends, etc.) 

Families may provide a combination of supplies and service to satisfy their requirement.

Families may earn service hours in the following ways:

Ø One hour of volunteer service is equal to one hour of credit;

Ø Every $20.00 in supplies is equal to one hour of credit;

Ø Every two cards registered with eScrip is equal to one hour of credit;

Ø Chairing an event or being a room parent is equal to five hours of credit.
