Dance/ Movement

Dance classes make up a fundamental component of the physical education program at The Learning Castle and La Canada Preparatory.

Starting in Transitional Kindergarten and continuing through the third grade, students have dance class once per week.  The TLC program focuses on movement and basic choreography.  Older students learn cultural dances such as the Macarena, Cha Cha Slide, the Cupid Shuffle and the Chicken Dance.

TLC students are showcased during the Winter Sing, held each December at the Lanterman Auditorium.
